Dr Len Sciacca brings over 35 years of experience in Government and Industry innovation sectors. He has led national programs and collaborative projects across Defence, academia, and industry, with a focus on delivering sovereign, operationally relevant technologies.
As founder of ASR Defence, Len drives the development of AI-enabled sensor networks and tactical decision systems. His depth of technical expertise and strategic insight ensures ASR’s innovations are scalable, export-ready, and aligned with the needs of both domestic and global defence markets.
Khusro Saleem is Co-Founder and Head of Engineering of ASR where he drives technology strategy and product roadmap. Prior to ASR, Khusro led the research and engineering program within Multi-Function Aperture Grand Challenge Program at the University of Melbourne. In this role he developed ultra wideband phased array technology. Khusro graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He received his PhD from The University of Melbourne, also in Electrical Engineering. Khusro has served as a senior advisor to several technology companies.
Esty is an expert in data and implementation of advanced optimisation for complex engineering problems across Defence and Biotech industries. She has led cross-disciplinary projects delivering innovative algorithms for automation applications in robotics, cyber-physical systems, and electronic warfare.
As Head of AI at ASR Defence, Esty oversees the development of AI technology to maximise the utility of smart sensors.
